Please visit the New Families section under Parent Resources on the Almond School website for information about bell schedules, lunch procedures, and after school activities.

Follow the steps below to ensure you hear about upcoming events and learn about how to get involved at Almond.

  • Complete PowerSchool Enrollment aka InfoSnap

    • Watch your inbox in late July for an email from "PowerSchool Enrollment" to confirm your registration. Select yes to be included in the school directory. New and returning students must complete this annually.

  • Create a login for ClassroomParent

    • ClassroomParent is our central hub: directory, PTA membership, volunteering, and sales all live here. Your information will populate a few days after completing PowerSchool. Check your profile to opt in to emails — you'll miss communications from your room parent and PTA if you opt out.

  • Subscribe to the Almond Calendar

  • Support PTA and LAEF: You'll hear about both PTA and LAEF when it comes to supporting Almond. They're separate organizations that work together — learn how they complement each other.

  • Communication

    • The Thursday Word is our school newsletter. This is the most complete source of information you will get about upcoming school events.

    • The PTA sends emails by class, grade, or school-wide using ClassroomParent.

    • The Almond Elementary Los Altos WhatsApp community aggregates grade level and event-specific groups. Reach out to your child's room parent to be added — room parents are assigned within the first few weeks of school.
