PTA supports innovation grants and expense reimbursements for teachers, library books and materials, PE equipment, Living Classroom and Art Docent supplies, and Starting Arts for TK-3 students. We also plan and run community events such as the Walk-a-thon, Family Science Night, Field Day, and more.

How Does the Almond PTA Raise Money?

Revenue Generating Fundraisers

Fundraisers are programs and events whose primary purpose is to raise money in order to fund a variety of programs at Almond School. These events are our most volunteer-intensive, so the PTA often examines how to better improve the margin (money raised versus money spent) of each event. This list includes:

  1. PTA Membership

  2. Back-to-School Donation Request

  3. Walkathon & Silent Auction

  4. Spring Gala & Live Auction (alternating years)

Community Service Fundraisers

Community Service programs or events may raise funds for Almond, however, the primary intent of these programs/events is to build pride in our school, strengthen our school community, and foster relationships among families. This list includes:

  1. Apparel Sales/Almond Wear

  2. Yearbooks

  3. Community parties such as GLOW, Poker, and Little Black Dress

  4. Teacher-sponsored ticketed parties

  5. Book Fair

  6. Family Dining Nights at local eateries

  7. Walkathon and Spring Gala are beloved community events in addition to generating revenue

Self Funding Programs

These programs may look like fundraisers are called “Self-Funding” because any money collected for the program only covers the cost of that program or event.
These programs are:

  1. Chorus

  2. Drama
